Rusty Nelson grew up outside of Philadelphia until he attended collage at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Soon after, he was selected to the Air Force's flight school and had an outstanding career as an officer piloting T-37's, 38's, B-52's and the U-2 spy plane. After working in the entertainment industry producing and directing he picked up a still camera and fell in love with the idea of a single image capturing a story. Since, he has been on an adventure to learn the art and mechanics of making an image.
He is also a Certified Expert by Adobe in Photoshop Lightroom and enjoys teaching others how they can improve in their photography skills.
"Although I'm what I would call an eclectic photographer, one thing I really enjoy doing besides shooting extreme weather is what I call Light Sculpted Images. I try to take an abandoned scene or still life and produce an image as though somebody just left before my camera arrived."
Recently Rusty had one of his images hung in the New Canon Experience Center and his nature images are currently on display at The G2 Gallery in Venice CA.
